Things to consider

Things to consider when filming my music video - Dancing; Making sure the actors are dancing to the beat and the mood of my song. - Lighting; Making sure there is a good amount of lighting coming from the correct sides to give of the correct mood for each individual scene. - Mise-en-scene; Making sure the props and costumes and other things in the frame match the story of the song and give some deeper meaning. - Editing; I want to make sure my editing is fast and classy. I don't want it to be cheesy but snappy and interesting. I will now proceed to research, to find out how I will achieve these factors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqaY6REl0jw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUt4jr3po_k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOpA_ZgOJhc

MY CHOSEN TRACK "THIS IS AMERICA"

Bild
Looking at "This is America." The track I have chosen is called "This Is America" and it has been made by the afro American artist "Childish Gambino" aka Donald Glover Released on the 5th of May 2018, "This Is America" is one of the most important and popular modern protest songs. It tackles the modern problems of America such as racism, poverty and violence.  Glover  seems to be  saying  that  America  uses entertainment provided by its black celebrities as a distraction from the death and violence it forces on its black citizens. It also sends a message about the ways that the lives of black Americans are often devalued in our culture. The song has been used and adapted to huge movements and protests, mainly having to do with the Black lives matter movement, which is a very current and important topic in 2020. The music video is known all around the globe for it being so spectacular in the way that it tells us a story, with loads of other stori

LOOKING AT PROTEST SONGS A  protest song  is a  song  that is associated with a movement for social change and hence part of the broader category of topical  songs  (or  songs  connected to current events). It may be folk, classical, or commercial in the genre. It could tackle any problem.  Here are some of the most common world issues tackled by protest songs; - Homosexual rights - Black rights movement - Female rights - Politics I find the songs most memorable when they have an interesting music video with them. It gives the viewer more real and interesting footage, that will stay in their heads. My favourite protest songs so far are; - This is America -- Childish Gambino - Sunday, Bloody Sunday --  U2 - Where is the Love -- Black Eyed Peace - One day -- bakermat
